There have been very few artists who have had the impact on both the music scene and culture in general as Carlos Sanatana. He is revered by guitar players around the globe and countless millions have spent their time in the woodshed just trying to get something close to his sound. One of a handful of guitarists that you can identify by hearing a single note!

40 years and 40 albums later, he and his band are still more than relevant and they continually release incredibly high quality CDs and DVDs Santana has sold over 100 million records while also having more than 100 million fans at his live concerts worldwide. 10 GRAMMY® Awards and 3 Latin GRAMMY® Awards. 1999’s Supernatural won 9 GRAMMY awards alone, tying a record.

This writer has had the good fortune of seeing him both in huge outdoor amphitheatres as well as in smaller clubs across North America over decades. Each show has been beyond whatever superlatives one can string together and has left indelible impressions on both the heart and soul.
