Jim Copeman
Jim is a world Fusion percussionist, presently with the group Small Change, and aways enjoyes the challenge of new creative progects in world fusion music with like minded musicians.Starting with the snare drum in a marching band when 12 years old, to studing frame drums in Turkey last May, Jim has played played drums most of his life, and continues to learn new forms of world percussion.His present 'fusion kit' incudes athe dumbec, djembe and conga. Also in his arsenal of drums is the riq, cajon, frame drum and udu drum. "My passion is exploring the endless combinations of world fusion music."Jim enjoys the challenges of composing fresh new sounds with like minded musicians.In addition, Jim is a Drum Circle Facilitator, bringing the excitement of recreational hand drumming to the Okanagan community.Jim is also involved with organizing the Okanagan Rhtyhm Fest, and hasbeen a performer at the festival and a presenter at it's workshops.
